ITP Quality

ITP Quality, under delegation from NZQA, is responsible for quality assurance of Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) through processes of:

• course approval and accreditation
• degree monitoring
• periodic external evaluation and review (EER).

Our mission:

is to provide students, employers and government with confidence in the quality of courses offered by New Zealand ITPs. We do this through the provision of independent, robust and transparent quality assurance services and advice.

To achieve our mission, ITP Quality is committed to:

• working in an impartial, fair and open manner;
• fostering the development of quality strategies, courses and procedures in ITPs;
• providing leadership and support in quality assurance matters;
• respecting the autonomy of each institution, and the diversity within the ITP sector;
• working closely with NZQA and other quality assurance bodies;
• working closely with ITO's, industry bodies and professional groups;
• supporting the concept of continuous quality enhancement.
