Bruce Martin works as a governance and management consultant having retired in 2004 after thirteen years as chief executive of the Eastern Institute of Technology and with extensive experience across the tertiary education sector in a range of senior management positions. Mr Martin’s focus more recently has involved intervention and support roles with tertiary education institutions, governance and management training, strategic planning, chairing of accreditation panels and a period as a ministerial appointee on a TEI council. Nationally Mr Martin has been a member of NZQA’s Tertiary Action Group, a member of the Ministerial Tertiary Lead Group, a director of New Zealand International Limited (NZIEL) and president of APNZ. Mr Martin, based in Napier, chairs the Hawke’s Bay Museum and Art Gallery Trust and is a lay member of the Hawke’s Bay District Law Society’s Standards Committee. He has formerly been a director of Food Hawke’s Bay and The Regional Indoor Sports and Events Centre Trust. |
