Transition We're aware that a number of ITPs may have new courses/qualifications under development and be wondering when the cut-off is for submitting these to ITP Quality under the current approval criteria. We are having discussions with NZQA to determine when the new qualification design rules will take effect, and issues around transition, and hope to be able to give you a steer on this in the next few weeks. Consultation Paper A consultation paper on the proposals to come out of this review is now available, with an extended 8 week deadline for responses. Feedback is due by 23 July 2010. You can download the document from the NZQA website: http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/qualifications/review/report2010/index.html We strongly recommend that ITPs schedule some time for their Academic Committees and Academic Board to consider the consultation paper, as the proposals may have a significant impact on the ITP Sector. |
